Does Graveyard Keeper 2 have multiplayer?

No. Every storefront that lists features says single-player, and no co-op, online play or split-screen mode is announced anywhere. The answer is short; the evidence is worth showing anyway, because this is the question people most often get wrong about management sims.

Does Graveyard Keeper 2 have multiplayer?

Steam carries no multiplayer category of any kind — not Multi-player, not Co-op, not Online Co-op, not LAN Co-op, not Shared/Split Screen, not Cross-Platform Multiplayer. Its category list is single-player plus achievements, controller support, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing. Xbox lists "Single player" as its only capability. PlayStation lists one player. Nintendo lists a single system. Four independent storefronts, one answer.

How the original game handled it

The 2018 Graveyard Keeper was single-player for its entire life. Lazy Bear has not described the sequel as a departure on this point, and no announcement, storefront field or interview found for this page mentions co-op. The pattern of the two games being consistent is why this site treats "single-player" as a settled answer rather than as a gap that might fill in.

Why co-op would be a large change, not a patch

This is reasoning about what the confirmed systems would require, not a report about the developer’s plans. It is here because "will co-op be added later" is the natural follow-up question.

The save is one continuous world state

A management sim with a persistent graveyard, a growing Town and a levelling zombie workforce keeps a lot of state in one place. Making that authoritative across two machines is a rewrite of the simulation layer, not an addition on top of it.

Time would have to be settled first

The game runs on a day cycle with day and night behaviour differences. Co-op has to answer what happens when one player sleeps and the other does not — either time is shared, which changes single-player pacing, or it is not, which breaks the shared world.

The systems are built for one schedule

Zombie automation is designed so production continues while you are elsewhere. With two players, one person’s automation is the other person’s waiting.

There is no networking scaffolding in the listing

Steam exposes no multiplayer categories and no online infrastructure fields for this app. A developer planning co-op usually lists it well before launch, because the store page is the marketing surface for it.

If anything changes

A multiplayer announcement would appear first as a category added to the Steam app details and a matching change on the console listings, because those fields are what storefront filters read. This page will be rebuilt from those listings if they change; its checked-date stamp is the thing to look at.

Where these facts come from

Graveyard Keeper 2 is not out yet, so nothing here is reproduced from a finished-game wiki. Each entry below is labelled by what it is: a developer or publisher source, a platform store listing, a press report, a video, or a fan-maintained page. Fan pages are used for terminology only, never for numbers.

Questions

Multiplayer questions

Does Graveyard Keeper 2 have co-op?

No. Every storefront lists it as single-player: Steam has no multiplayer categories at all, Xbox lists "Single player", PlayStation lists one player, and Nintendo lists a single system. No co-op mode has been announced.

Does Graveyard Keeper 2 have online multiplayer?

No online mode is listed. Steam carries no "Multi-player", "Online Co-op" or "Cross-Platform Multiplayer" category for the app, and no console storefront lists network play.

Is there local or split-screen co-op?

No. Steam has no "Shared/Split Screen Co-op" or "LAN Co-op" category, and the Nintendo listings show a single system with no local wireless mode.

Was the first Graveyard Keeper multiplayer?

No, the original was single-player throughout. The sequel follows it on this point.

Could co-op be added after launch?

Nothing announced rules it in or out. The honest answer is that a persistent-world management sim would need substantial simulation and save-format work for co-op, so it would be a significant post-launch undertaking rather than a small patch — but that is an assessment of the systems, not a statement of Lazy Bear’s plans.

Can I share the game with someone else?

Steam lists Family Sharing as supported, and Nintendo lists Nintendo Account family-group lending as supported. Those let a household share a purchase under each platform’s terms — they do not create a multiplayer mode.
