Graveyard Keeper 2
everything confirmed before launch

Lazy Bear Games’ cemetery-management sequel swaps the original’s bench grind for an automated zombie workforce, and opens the Town the first game kept locked. Here is what the storefronts and the developers actually state — and what is still unannounced.

Graveyard Keeper 2: defenders and a healing outpost holding a village lane against an armoured attacking horde.
Six days outSteam, PlayStation, Xbox and both Nintendo listings carry the same September 22, 2026 date. PlayStation is the only one that publishes the hour: 05:00 PM UTC.

What actually changes from the first game

Four loops carry the sequel. Each is described by the developers or visible in the pre-release demo — none of it is extrapolated from the 2018 game.

A zombie workforce

Zombies no longer just operate workbenches. They staff semi-automatic machines in underground factories, provided minimum working conditions are met, and each one levels separately. The catch is corruption: red skulls, a liability in the first game, are what let a zombie here develop better skills.

Rebuilding The Town

The Town was a legendary locked location in 2018. It is playable now — largely abandoned and overrun — and you restore it district by district with housing, cafés, shops and infrastructure. The better supplied your Town, the better the corpses you receive.

Crafting, alchemy and the Tech Tree

Raw harvest still feeds a production chain, but the Tech Tree now unlocks graveyard modules — tombs, benches, columbariums, monuments and graves — and gates the machines that make refined goods worth selling.

An army to lead

Combat is the newest pillar: towers, fortifications, crafted armour and weapons, and undead troops to arm and train. The developers frame the endgame as holding districts rather than clearing them once.

Graveyard Keeper 2 quick answers

When does Graveyard Keeper 2 come out?

September 22, 2026. Steam, the PlayStation Store, the Xbox Store and both Nintendo eShop listings carry that date. The PlayStation listing gives the unlock moment as 9/22/2026 05:00 PM UTC.

What platforms is Graveyard Keeper 2 on?

PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Those are the five storefronts linked from graveyardkeeper2.com. No Mac or Linux build is listed on Steam.

Does Graveyard Keeper 2 have multiplayer or co-op?

No. Every storefront lists it as single-player only: Steam carries no multiplayer categories, Xbox lists "Single player", PlayStation lists one player, and Nintendo lists a single system. The original game was single-player as well.

How much does Graveyard Keeper 2 cost?

Steam shows $24.99 with a 20% pre-order discount to $19.99, and the same $19.99 appears on the Xbox pre-order bundle and both Nintendo listings. The PlayStation Store listing publishes no numeric price, so treat any PS5 figure you see elsewhere as unconfirmed.

Is there a Graveyard Keeper 2 demo?

It depends on the platform. Steam registers a separate demo application, and the PlayStation concept page lists a separate demo product whose store state is ambiguous. Neither Xbox nor Nintendo has a demo listing, and no storefront states whether demo progress carries into the full game.

Is Graveyard Keeper 2 on Game Pass?

Not announced. The Xbox product page carries no Game Pass badge and no "included with Game Pass" wording. That is an absence of an announcement, not a denial.

Start with the release facts

If you only need one answer before launch, it is the date, the platforms and the price. Those three pages carry every figure the storefronts publish, each with the source it came from.

Where these facts come from

Every entry below is labelled by what it is: a developer or publisher source, a platform store listing, a press report, a video, or a fan-maintained page. Fan pages are used for terminology, and where one is the only record of a number, that number is written as community wiki data, unconfirmed, with the date it was last checked.

  • Store listing Graveyard Keeper 2 on Steam (app 4358690) — The most detailed platform listing: 11 interface languages, single-player only, full controller support with DualShock and DualSense entries, Steam Cloud, Achievements, Family Sharing, and the Windows minimum and recommended specifications.
  • Official graveyardkeeper2.com — official game site — Carries the launch date and links exactly five storefronts: PlayStation, Steam, Microsoft Store, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. It does not link Epic or GOG, and publishes no price.
  • Store listing PlayStation Store — Graveyard Keeper 2 (concept 10018528) — PS5 listing read 2026-09-16. Shows a 9/22/2026 05:00 PM UTC release instant, 1 player, offline play, DualSense vibration support, the ESRB Teen descriptors, and both pre-order items: a personal sauna and an exclusive outfit. No numeric price is rendered.
  • Store listing Nintendo eShop US — Graveyard Keeper 2 (Switch) — Read 2026-09-16, re-read 2026-10-30. On sale now: released 9/22/26 and listed at $24.99 USD on 2026-10-30, with the $19.99 pre-order discount having ended at launch; 792 MB, single system, TV/tabletop/handheld, ESRB Teen. Carries the Switch 2 compatibility verdict "Supported – Game behavior is consistent with Nintendo Switch". Tagged Action, Simulation, Pixel art and Voiced characters.
  • Fan page gk2guide.wiki — Graveyard Keeper 2 Walkthrough: Progression Order — A pre-launch fan page that is explicit about the limits of what exists: it states there is no published step-by-step walkthrough and that any site claiming one before September 22 is guessing. Its four-stage framing (graveyard, automation, Town, army) is a reading of the developers’ own descriptions rather than datamined structure.
  • Press report Game8 — Graveyard Keeper 2 Release Date and Time — Updated 2026-08-26. Independently lists PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 for the September 22, 2026 date, and shows the Steam, PlayStation and Xbox storefronts as live while the two Nintendo entries were still wishlist-only at that time.
